The Season Changes!


We had a frost roll through here for a few nights. Not really unexpected, but I would have enjoyed a few more weeks without it. There were a few things that were but a week or two away from being able to harvest but it has been a good year.

A late planting of beans, peas and squash got toasted by the frost.

However, that is not the end all of the season and, indeed, the frost will make the collards taste even better!

Lettuce and beets are up, onions have been set out and the garlic is due here in a couple of weeks. I helped a little test survive the frosts and it is going to be interesting. More on that later on but the initial results look promising!
